Prize

The top 20 applicants, as chosen by the judges, will be honoured by the CCCE with a $100 donation in their name to the charity of their choice.

The top 4 applicants* will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Ottawa to participate in the two-day conference organized by the CCCE.

*To be eligible for the trip, participants must be 19 years of age or older as of April 1, 2015.

Instructions

  • Videos must be uploaded directly to the TalentEgg website (external links will not be accepted)
  • Videos must be filmed using highest resolution possible (1080p/1080i or 720p is preferred)
  • Videos must be shot in landscape orientation (videos shot in portrait mode will not be accepted)
  • Videos must be accompanied by a written submission (250-500 words)

Eligibility

  • Submissions will be considered from secondary and post-secondary (undergraduate and graduate) students and recent graduates, in all disciplines, from anywhere in Canada.
  • A secondary school student is defined as someone who is studying at the high school or CEGEP level in the 2014/2015 school year.
  • A post-secondary student is defined as someone who is attending a university, college or polytechnic in the 2014/2015 school year.
  • A recent graduate is someone who has completed secondary or post-secondary education within the past five years.

General rules

  1. Entries will be accepted in either English or French
  2. Video entries must not exceed 30 seconds in length
  3. Accompanying written submissions must be no longer than 500 words (and no shorter than 250)
  4. Entries will become property of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and may be shown at the April 2015 conference
  5. Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification from the contest
